Academics

  • Attending a prestigious public university like Illinois, academics should be an important factor for all of its students. Academics play a large role daily for the men of Alpha Sigma Phi.

The house’s importance of academics is instilled to its members from the beginning. Pledges are required to attend mandatory study hours on a weekly basis and study groups can form during them. This not only helps with studying, but also helps create good study habits.

One thing that sets our house apart from many others on campus is the large number of active members. This allows for academic diversity in majors amongst its members, but also increases the chances of another member having the same major as others.

Above all, we believe that our efforts outside the classroom reflect inside the classroom as we. Our house GPA averages at 3.1807 as of Spring 2015, which is higher than the university undergraduate average GPA and the campus-wide fraternity average GPA
